Questions
Frequently asked.
What is the curation fee?
The Curation Fee is a professional planning fee paid directly to W Travel Haus — separate from the cost of your trip. It covers destination research, proposal preparation, and supplier coordination. It is not credited toward the cost of your reservation. The fee becomes nonrefundable once research begins, including if you decide not to book, book elsewhere, or find a lower price. See "How much does planning cost?" below for tier details.
How do I complete my trip booking?
After your consultation and proposal review, you'll receive a secure booking link provided by our trusted travel partner. Payment methods, deposit amounts, and final balance due dates will be confirmed before any reservation is finalized.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Curation fees are processed through Stripe or PayPal — both PCI-compliant platforms. W Travel Haus does not store your card information. Trip reservations are completed through secure booking portals provided by our travel partners.
What if I need to cancel or change my trip after booking?
Supplier cancellation and change policies vary and will be explained before booking. In addition, W Travel Haus charges its own administrative fees for post-booking changes: a $25 Booking Change Management Fee applies per change request after a reservation is confirmed, and a $125 Cancellation Administration Fee applies if a booking is cancelled (replacing any prior change fee). These fees are charged by W Travel Haus regardless of any supplier refund outcome. We always recommend travel protection to help safeguard your investment against unexpected cancellations.
How much does planning cost?
The Curation Fee is a flat professional planning fee — separate from and not credited toward your trip cost — structured by trip complexity:
Standard — $50: 1 destination, 1 departure city, up to 2 rooms, 3 options, 1 revision.
Enhanced — $75: Up to 2 destinations, 2 departure cities, up to 4 rooms, 4 options, 2 revisions.
Custom Group — quoted: 5+ rooms or formal group contract. Fee agreed in writing before planning begins.
Calendar Trips — no initial fee: Pre-planned hosted trips carry no Curation Fee when booked as presented. Custom additions may require a fee.
Is a credit card authorization required?
Yes. A credit card authorization form is required to process card payments for travel bookings. This ensures secure handling of your payment details and allows us to coordinate directly with our travel partners on your behalf.
How long is my proposal valid?
After your Curation Fee is received and research begins, your proposal is actively supported for 48 hours — during which pricing is monitored and held where possible. After 48 hours, your file may be closed and any held rates released. Files can be reactivated within 30 days of closure with a $25 reactivation fee, subject to current availability and pricing. Files closed beyond 30 days require a new Curation Fee to restart.
What are Calendar Trips?
Calendar Trips are pre-planned hosted group experiences organized and priced by W Travel Haus. Because the itinerary, dates, and pricing are set in advance, no initial Curation Fee is charged when you join a Calendar Trip as presented. Customizations, room upgrades, or add-ons outside the standard package may require an additional planning fee. Browse current Calendar Trips at
our Travel Calendar.
What travel documents do I need?
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documentation before departure. All booking names must match your government-issued ID exactly — name corrections after ticketing can incur fees or require rebooking at current prices. International travel typically requires a valid passport; many destinations also require visas, entry permits, or health documentation. W Travel Haus can advise on general requirements, but verifying and obtaining all required documents is the traveler's responsibility. Allow ample time: passport renewals often take 6–8 weeks or longer.
